At Apple Creek Farms Summer Camp, kids spend their days riding, learning, and connecting — with horses, with nature, and with each other.
Each camper gets about an hour of riding per day, plus lots of hands-on time learning to groom, tack up, and care for their horse. And even when they’re not in the saddle, they’re still learning:

We know how important it is for parents to feel confident about their child’s well-being. That’s why at Apple Creek Farms:

🐴 We work with calm, gentle horses and maintain a low staff-to-camper ratio for safety.
🪖 Helmets are required for every rider.

FAQ
What if my child has never ridden a horse before?
No problem at all! Families are welcome to schedule a visit to the ranch to meet the horses and get familiar with the environment before booking. We also offer a one-time trial session you can book if your child would like to experience it first.
In fact, many of our campers last year had never even seen a horse up close—and they had just as much fun and success as those with previous riding experience!
What ages can attend the camp?
We welcome campers between ages 7 and 17. All experience levels are welcome—from complete beginners to advanced riders.
What kinds of activities will my child do at camp?

Does my child need prior horse riding experience?
Not at all. Our program is beginner-friendly and designed to teach children the basics in a safe, encouraging environment.
What safety measures are in place?
Safety is our top priority. We use certified helmets (campers may bring their own), maintain a 5:1 camper-to-counselor ratio, and all horses are calm, well-trained, and used to working with children.
What should my child bring to camp?

Yes! We do offer sibling and multi-week discounts.

Can I book only a few days instead of a full week?
No, our program is built around full-week sessions (Monday to Friday). Each camper spot is reserved per week, so we’re unable to offer partial-week bookings.
What are the camp hours?
A one-week booking includes camp Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Campers should arrive a few minutes early and be picked up promptly at 2 PM.
